ACCOMPLISHED 2026 EVENTS Running total 3,105 lbs. litter & 110 lbs. recyclables

18 AUGUST 2026 Nine members of ESP cleared 340 pounds of litter and 10 pounds of recyclables from Rt 248 between William Penn Highway south to the Glendon Bridge. Additionally, the trail from behind Lidle north to EAHS, and the Palmer Fire Department’s Social Hall’s parking lot were part of today’s litter removal.

10 AUGUST 2026 08:30 AM Bushkill Drive from 4-way flasher at Arndt Road, southeast to 13th Street

8 members of ESP removed 405 pounds of litter & 15 pounds recyclables. We stacked 5 piles of tires, construction debris and litter on both sides of Mittman and Bushkill – notified PENNDOT of their location, together with a deer carcass south of the EASD Offices. We informed Forks Township of 2 construction piles in the parking lot off of Edgewood immediately adjacent to the Bushkill Stream. We also notified Forks Township of an abandoned ATM streamside south of the EASD Offices. (Estimate 7 piles construction debris, tires, litter, multiple filled 5 gallon pails – an additional 800-1000 pounds.

TUESDAY JULY 14, 07:00 25th Street Mall south east corner of the parking lot drain swale. 180 pounds litter & 25 pounds recyclables.

MONDAY JUNE 29 @ 8:30 AM Rts 248 and Northampton Street intersection 9 participants removed 300 pounds of litter

MONDAY JUNE 8 @ 9:00 AM Greenwood Avenue 6 participants cleared 200 pounds of litter and 10 pounds of metal from William Penn Highway to Rt 22,

MONDAY, JUNE 1 25TH street to Glendon Bridge. 465 pounds of litter removed.

TUESDAY, MAY 26TH @ 9:00 – 11:00 AM Tatamy Road between Hackett Ave and Northwood Ave. 8 participants made quick work of this area, removing 260 pounds of litter from adjacent to the Bushkill Stream.

SATURDAY, MAY 16, 2026 0900 -1130 Clean-up Lehigh Drive.   Collected over 300 pounds of debris, 3 tires, several pounds of scrap metal and carboard. Earth Stewards with several other volunteer organization representatives made a quick and through job of today’s cleanup.

EARTH DAY 18 APRIL 2026 10:00-12:00 FAIRVIEW PARK – We staffed a table with handout materials, performed a cleanup around the park’s perimeter, as well as participated in two (2) additional cleanups –

12 APRIL 2026 0900-1000: Cleared Hackett Ave from Wood Ave to Gruver. 1000-1200: Cleared Route 248 Park Ave to Old Nazareth Rd. Removed 260 pounds of litter and 25 pounds of recyclables

8 APRIL 2026 08:30-10:30 Hugh Moore National Canal Museum Canal Lock cleanout. 8 Earth Stewards removed 280 pounds of litter from the “lock” and surrounding area.

TUESDAY, 24 March 2026 08:30-10:30 AM removed litter from 25th (Rt 248) and Northampton Streets. 8 Volunteers collected 260 Pounds of litter and 15 pounds of recyclables MONDAY, MARCH 30th 08:30 AM 25th Street from Aldi south to the Glendon Bridge. 6 Volunteers collected 375 pounds of litter and 15 pounds of recyclables.
